Prof. Paolo Bargiacchi, Professor of International Law, Faculty of Economics and Law, Kore University of Enna (Italy)

Professor of International Law at the Faculty of Law and Economics of Kore University of Enna, Italy. He teaches International Law, EU Law, International Law of Armed Conflicts, and Human Rights Law. On subjects of International Law and EU Law, he has written numerous articles, three books, a Treatise on International Law (co-authored with Professor Augusto Sinagra) and a Treatise on EU Law. The third Italian edition of the Treatise on International Law is forthcoming while the first Spanish edition was published in Argentina in 2013. His current research subjects are: migration and refugees law; international criminal law; human rights and security; human security, responsibility to protect and the EU Global Strategy; the reform of the UN Security Council; the global war on terrorism. Member of several Board of Editors and Board of Professors in PhD Programmes. He teaches, inter alia, in post-graduate master courses and specialization programmes at the Italian Society for International Organization (SIOI, Rome), the Scuola di Perfezionamento per le Forze di Polizia of the Italian Ministry of Home Affairs and the International School of Advanced Studies to Prevent and Combat Organized Crime. He is the Academic Coordinator for the Kore University Unit within the POWERS Jean Monnet Network.
