Lectures in the frameworks of Research workshop “Religious Fragmentation as a factor of conflict” — 23-24 April 2019, University of Goettingen (Germany)

Lectures and discussion with active participation of post-graduate students. Lectures about minorities in Syria, Iraq, Turkey, Germany and Russia in the frameworks of Research workshop “Religious Fragmentation as a factor of conflict”. Providing background information on the topics of the workshop “Religious fragmentation as a factor of conflict” to the students the teachers from Voronezh State University, Dokuz Eylul University, and University of Göttingen perform their visions on the issues and discuss them with the students and young researchers.

Participants outside the Network: Institute of Culture and Religion Studies of Islam, Goethe University of Frankfurt-am-Main; Duhok University in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

Students and experts participated in survey "International Security Threats".

According to the students’ feedbacks it can reported that as a group of students with diverse backgrounds in fields of study and descent, they were able to benefit from an array of perspectives on the topic of religious fragmentation and minorities. The multitude of speakers and the country of their origins gave the students an authentic insight into minority everyday life and the role of religion therein.
